Port St. Lucie — “A City of All Ages” has been designated among the top ten fastest growing cities in the nation by the U.S. Census office and often named the 3rd fastest growing city in America by a multitude of media. It is the ninth largest city in Florida by population. A large city with a “small town feeling,” Port St. Lucie offers business opportunities and a wonderful lifestyle for any economic level. The City has ranked among the top ten safest cities in America for many years and is certified as the safest city in the southeastern United States with a population of 166,000.

For many years, Port St. Lucie has been called a “bedroom community,” and now is rapidly evolving into a dynamic and diverse city. The lack of planned growth in the past has created a flurry of aggressive redevelopment and attention to future growth. Communities within Port St. Lucie include the East lake Village, St. Lucie West, PGA Village, the Town of Tradition and the new upscale Tesoro. Each community offers unique and interesting features with wonderful neighborhoods with schools, health care, entertainment, recreation, shopping and commerce offering a superior quality of life unlike many cities where new residents are finding it a wonderful place to live, work and play. Port St. Lucie attracts a vibrant mix of people because of its low crime rate, diverse housing stock and abundant open space. As a new hub for biotech research and life sciences, the city offers diverse economic opportunities, clear guidelines for prosperous and sustainable growth, and state-of-the-art infrastructure ready to support development and investment.

The opportunities for recreation in Port St. Lucie are abundant. St. Lucie West is home to the New York Mets, and St. Lucie Mets for minor league baseball. PGA Village is home to the National PGA Learning Center and two of the finest golf course anywhere. Private and public golf courses are scattered throughout the city. Special events are common in Port St. Lucie, where several annual festivals and parades regularly draw large crowds to the Civic Center and the amphitheater at the Martin Health System Village Square. These include celebrations for Martin Luther King Day, St. Patrick’s Day, the Fourth of July, Oktoberfest, the Fall Festival, the Annual Bonfire and Hayride and the Holiday Festival of Lights.

The city also hosts a weekly Green Market, a monthly live dinner theater, a comedy forum, several Botanical Garden festivals and plant sales, and a variety of music and art shows for all tastes. The Port St. Lucie area includes theaters, amphitheaters, galleries, museums and sporting events. The Lyric Theatre in nearby Stuart and the Sunrise Theatre in nearby Fort Pierce frequently host nationally recognized performers. Also in Fort Pierce, the U.S. Navy Seal Museum has become a major attraction because of their prominence in national news stories. Port St. Lucie is the spring training home to the New York Mets, and home to Minor League Baseball’s St. Lucie Mets.

The unique master-planned community of Tradition Florida captures the charm of America’s small towns of yesterday and combines that with the amenities today’s home buyers expect. Great shopping and dining are just a short stroll or bike ride from most homes. You don’t need to start the car and drive miles for every errand.
